Abstract

1526741 Automatic control of concentration of lubricant DIVERSEY Ltd. 4 Feb 1976 [7 Feb 1975] 5290/75 Heading G3R The concentration of neat lubricant in a solution in a tank 1 is kept constant by a system in which, when the output of an electrical conductivity probe 21 falls below a reference adjusted at 20, a valve 10 is opened to pass solution back to the tank via a Venturi 11, causing neat lubricant from a container 12 to be drawn up and mixed with the returning solution. The other constituent is water, admitted at 4 by ball-valve 5. A pressure switch 14, and operation of the valve 10, start a timer which gives an alarm if it times out, indicating an empty container or failure, e.g. of valve or probe, which prevents restoration of the concentration. 7 is a pressure regulator and 9 a gauge. The solution is sprayed by a pump 6 on to a slatted conveyor for bottles or crates, under the control of a valve 17 turned on and off for timed periods.
