Abstract
PURPOSE:To execute feed forward control of the chlorine dosage of a cleaning treatment by controlling the rate of supplying chemical solns. in such a manner that the concn. of the residual chlorine in a liquid after mixing is maintained in the range of the upper and lower limit values of the concn. of the residual chlorine set in a residual chlorine meter in accordance with said values. CONSTITUTION:The volume of the chemical solns. from for example, measuring tanks 3, 5 is assumed to be 5ppm in terms of the concn. of the free chlorine in the raw water and the volume from measuring tanks 4, 6 to be 10ppm and the upper limit value set in the residual chlorine meter 16 is assumed to be 7ppm and the lower limit value to be 1ppm. 5ppm Free chlorine is supplied to a mixing tank 13 and is consumed by reaction with the components in the raw water when only the solenoid valve S1 is open. The residual chlorine meter 16 measures the free chlorine in the liquid discharged from the mixing tank 13 and the solenoid valve S1 is held open when the free chlorine is between 1-7ppm. A control device 17 emits the command to close the solenoid valve S1 and to open a solenoid valve S2 when the value indicated on the meter 16 falls to <=1ppm. 10ppm Free chlorine is then supplied from the measuring tank 4 to the mixing tank 13. The control device 17 emits the command to close the solenoid valve S2 and to open the solenoid valve S1 to restore 5ppm supply rate when the indicated value exceeds 7ppm. The command to open the solenoid valves S1, S2 is emitted and the free chlorine is supplied at 15ppm in total when the indicated value exceeds 1ppm.
