Abstract

1,068,956. Dosage apparatus. BALDWIN-GEGENHEIMER CORPORATION. Sept. 21, 1964 [Feb. 3, 1964], No. 38469/64. Heading B1C. Apparatus for doseing a water supply with a chemical concentrate to form a dilute solution of pre-determined concentration comprises a reservoir 11 for the concentrate having a downspout 28 forming with the cup 30 (which floats in the solution tank 2) a bird fountain device. Fall of level in tank 2 operates a floatswitch 15 and solenoid valve 22 to initiate a water supply which passes through the injector 14, withdrawing concentrate from cup 30 through pipe 40, mixing it with the water and discharging the mixture through pipe 12 into tank 2. Pipe 40 is adjustable to regulate the depth to which it dips into cup 30 an thus the dose of concentrate supplied; it may have a clamp and scale 44, 48, When tank 2 is full the water supply is stopped by the float switch. The tank 2 is discharged by pump 8 through conduit 10.
