Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a preparatory container being emptied without providing a special detecting means by operating a supplementing means while detecting whether supplement ends within a prescribed time by using a timer when the amount of a developer in a developing container decreases below a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A preparatory tank 4 is coupled with a developing tank 7 via conduits 5 and 9 and supplies a developing solution through a pump 6. As the developing solution a decreases, a hook 12a turns on a switch 13 to supply the developing solution 3. This developer 3 operates a switch 25 to turn off a timer. Once the supplement ends, the swtch 13 turns off. When the developing solution 3 is all supplied, the switch 25 does not operate and the timer 17 turns on. The idling of the pump 6 is stopped after the time T of the timer. When development is continued further, the developing solution 2 decreases until the 2nd prescribed-amount detection switch 14 operates and the 2nd warning signal is generated to put a buzzer in operation, thus making warning display.
