Abstract

1525238 Building blocks ALEXANDER RUSSELL Ltd 1 Sept 1975 [5 Dec 1974] 52758/74 Heading E1B [Also in Division B5] A cuboidal building block has a single row of apertures or recesses therein filled with foamed urea-formaldehyde resin. The block is made by introducing a wet mix of cement and light weight aggregate, clinker, quarry stone, gravel or sand/gravel, into a mould containing tapered formers, removing the formers and introducing expanded plastics either before or after the concrete has cured. The expanded plastics may be pre-formed or expanded in the apertures. Ties or adhesive may be used to hold it in place.
