Abstract
1523157 Turbomachine stators CREUSOT LOIRE 14 Oct 1975 [14 Oct 1974] 42078/75 Heading F1T A turbomachine, e.g. a steam turbine, comprises a casing 2 containing a rotor 1 having spaced wheels 10 and a stator assembly consisting of diaphragms 3 and spacer rings 4 held together by through-bolts 5. One member of the stator assembly is of increased diameter at 33 to engage an annular locating groove 23 in casing 2. The latter is split in a horizontal plane and can be assembled by inserting the lower half of the similarly split stator assembly in the lower casing half, inserting the rotor and then adding the upper casing half which has screws 6 retaining therein the remainder of the stator. In an alternative assembly method, Fig. 3 (not shown), diaphragms 3 and spacer rings 4 are connected around the rotor 1 by bolts 5 with their respective dividing planes normal to each other. The complete assembly is then lowered into the lower casing half and the upper casing half added. Rings 4 may carry annular sealing ribs 7.
