Abstract

152,313. Schneider, K. July 12, 1920. Cylinders, cooling. -The passage through the heads or covers leading to the valves are protected from heat by hollow liners through which water circulates. Those shown are typical. In Fig. 2 a ring a protects the corner of the passage over which the hot gases rush. Fig. 6 shows a liner b for the whole of the passages secured by a flange through which the cooling water enters and leaves. As shown on the right of Fig. 6, the liner forms exclusively the outer end of the passage.
