Abstract

1522598 Sliding drawers SWISH PRODUCTS Ltd 23 Oct 1975 [6 Nov 1974] 47918/74 Heading A4B [Also in Division F2] A drawer comprises sides 10 and a rear 30 each formed at their ends with sockets 14, 15 which receive tenons 20 or 36 carried by corner members 17, 35, each tenon 20, 36 being hook-shaped to provide a resilient tongue 22 directed towards the body of the corner members 17 or 35, the free end of the tongue 22 having a tooth 23 which has a snap engagement in an aperture 16 disposed within the socket 14 or 15 when the tenon is engaged in the socket. The joint may be additionally secured by adhesive. The wall members 10, 30 may be of extruded plastics and are formed with a groove 12 to receive a drawer bottom and a channel 11 to receive a drawer runner. The corner members 35 at the front ends of the drawer sides 10 are screwed to a front wall of the drawer.
