Abstract

1,023,160. Supporting and connecting pipes- ALLIED STRUCTURAL PLASTICS Ltd. Feb. 11, 1965 [Feb. 12, 1964], No. 5818/64. Addition to 954,861. Heading F2P. A patent of addition to the parent Specification which relates to a rainwater or like fitting of synthetic resin having an external protuberance in the form of a tapered male dovetail which slides vertically into a correspondingly shaped female dovetail on a supporting bracket and is retained there by the weight of the fitting. In the present Specification, the corresponding shapes on the protuberance (Fig. 1) and the bracket (not shown) have transversely extending slots 10 whereby the protuberance and the bracket may be engaged part-way along their vertical length and slid home to an engaged position by a movement constituting a fraction of the length of the protuberance.
