Abstract

1521781 Cutting apparatus PAKCEL CONVERTERS Ltd 3 March 1977 [15 Jan 1976) 01530/76 Heading B4B Apparatus for producing two reelable flat continuous sheets from a flat tube of thermoplastics material comprises a pair of guide wheels 3 supported to extend into the tube so as to engage and maintain the longitudinal edge creases of the tube in contact with coacting slitting blades 5 whereby the tube is slit and divided at the creases into two flat sheets. Each wheel 3 and co-acting blade 5 are mounted on a respective bracket 6 connected to a rod 8 which is rotatable in a carrier 11; the carrier is slidably mounted on a shaft 18 and loaded by a spring 12 and in order to cause the wheels to engage with the creases of the tube. The shaft is fixed to a support 14 adjustably mounted on a bar 1.
