Abstract

1382961 Cutting apparatus SOC HERVE & FILS PAPETERIES DU SENTIER 7 March 1973 [7 March 1972 19 Feb 1973] 11046/73 Heading B4B A device for cutting or perforating a continuously fed strip of material comprises a blade 10 mounted to rotate about an axis for cooperation with a fixed counter-blade 11, the blades being angularly disposed so as to cross each other during rotation of the blade 10, the point of crossing moving along the counterblade and the counter-blade being angularly disposed in relation to the axis of the blade 10. The blade 10 is secured at its ends to brackets 9a, 9b fixed on a shaft 7, the latter being rotatable in a structure 5a, 5b, mounted on a support 4; the structure is pivotable about a pin 6 fixed to the structure end 5b, the other end 5a of the structure being adjustable by means of a micrometric screw 12; with a modification, such adjustment is effected on the counter-blade instead of the blade 10. The counter-blade 11 is tilted at a small angle to the plane of the material such that the blades are maintained in contact during cutting, the blade being sufficiently flexible to permit such contact. In order to effect perforation of the material one of the blades is serrated.
