Abstract
1512977 Releasable fastening HUWILWERKE GmbH MOBELSCHLOSS-UND BESCHLAGFABRIKEN 28 Oct 1975 [21 Dec 1974] 44278/75 Heading E2A An espagnolette lock comprises a casing 1 to be fitted into a hinged door 2, said casing, when fitted having a pair of projections 10 extending from the door and having co-axial bores therein, a bolt hook 4 having a bore of substantially the same diameter as said bores and with an internal flat, a rotatable rod 6 having a corresponding flat 9 at that end which is to be inserted into said bores so as to be engaged for rotation with said bolt hook, and a keeper pin 5 to be mounted on a body 3, the bolt hook 4 being guided in the casing 1 and being symmetrical about its middle plane, so that the rod may be inserted into the projections from either side. A wedge 7, Fig. 1, is provided to retain the bolt hook 4 where shown in broken lines to facilitate packaging, the wedge being sheared off in use of the bolt hook The door may be provided with a pair of fastenings, one at the top and one at the bottom thereof.
