Abstract

1338720 Locks ADAMS RITE MFG CO 20 Aug 1971 [31 Aug 1970] 39208/71 Heading E2A A bolt 14 of a lock is provided with an element 19, Fig. 3, of ceramic for example which may be inserted inside the bolt. In use when a bolt 14 is in its fastening position it extends from a door 10, Fig. 1, and into an opening 16 in a door jamb 17. The gap between the door and the door jamb facilitates unlawful sawing of the bolt but this is resisted by the ceramic &c element 19. The bolt may be a hook-type as shown in Fig. 7.
