Abstract

1319752 Bolts WILH FRANK GmbH 1 Sept 1971 [11 Sept 1970] 40707/71 Heading E2A A fastening for a window &c comprises a bolt 4 which slides in the window housing to engage or disengage from a notch in the window frame. The bolt projects through a slot 14 in a cover plate 1, and it has a foot 7, 8 engaging in a hole 13 in a control rod 13 which slides in a guide 3, 9 under the cover plate. Longitudinal movement of this rod moves the bolt 4 along the slot 14 to engage or release the window. Friction is provided by indents 10. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the bolt comprises a stub-axle (26) carrying a roller (25) and having a circumferential neck (28) engaged by the edge of a slot 43 in the guide. In a further modification (Fig. 4, not shown) the foot (37) of the bolt has a hook (41) which engages under the edge of the slot (38) in the control rod 32. It is held there by a tab (39) engaging a hand (44) on the foot (37) and pressed out of the guide.
