Abstract
1510282 Nuts PLASTICOS MEL SA 13 Feb 1976 [13 Feb 1975] 05789/76 Heading F2H A plastics nut comprises two members, the first consisting of an internally-threaded hollow cylinder 1 divided into three 120 degrees sectors each joined by a flexible leg to an outer body 8 which is cylindrical internally and prismatic (e.g. hexagonal) externally. The second member 14 has an annular bush 15 which when fitted into the space between the two parts 1, 8 closes the cylinder 1 around a screw 11. A hole 16 in the second member may be smaller than the screw 11 so that a flexible annular lip 17 forms a seal on the screw. Attached to the body 8 by a flexible ring 10 may be a sealing washer 9 for sealing against, for example, corrugated roofing 12.
