1509903 Impeller or rotor blades ANDESTER IMPELLERS Ltd 14 April 1975 [19 April 1974 20 Aug 1974] 17198/74 and 36559/74 Headings F1C and F1T [Also in Division B7] An impeller or rotor comprises non-rigid helical blades 12 secured to a spindle 1 by curved leading edge supports 2, 3 and by trailing edge supports 4, 5 normal to the plane containing the roots of supports 2, 3 and the spindle 1, each blade also being stitched to the spindle along its length. The blades may be made of terylene (R.T.M.) proofed with polyurethane or of plastics material such as ABS plastics. A sinusoidal support member 6 connects the ends A, B of the inner supports 2, 3 to the spindle at E. A modification having six blades is described.
