Abstract

1420674 Centrifugal fans SIEMENS AG 27 March 1973 [29 March 1972] 14776/73 Headings F1C and C2N A radial-flow fan impeller is provided with a layer 4 of plastics filter material retained by the outer edges of the impeller vanes 22. The filter material may be a foamed plastics material. As shown, portions 5 which may be integral with the layer 4 may engage between the vanes 22. In addition to filtering, the layer 4 reduces noise. The fan casing 3 is injection-moulded from plastics material and encloses also the driving motor 1. A cover which includes the fan inlet has pegs which snap into eyelets 7.
