Abstract

150,903. Moss, I. Sept. 2, 1919. Button, buttonhole, and other fastening strips and tabs.-In a snap fastener of the type described in Specification 115,643, [Class 44, Fastenings, Lock &c.], comprising two complementary parts which snap into each other, each member has means for attaching it to the fabric so that the entering portion is exposed on one side of the fabric and the receiving portion on the other side, thus enabling the members to be engaged from left to right or from right to left as desired. The fasteners may be attached in spaced relation on a strip 17, Fig. 8, to form a single fastener element which is attached to one meeting edge of a garment and engages with a duplicate strip on the other edge, the edges being apertured to expose either the entering or the receiving portions which would otherwise be covered. The strip may be cut up into shorter lengths, each constituting a fastener element, or it may be cut between each member to provide individual fastener elements.
