1508357 Transfer element MONARCH MARKING SYSTEMS INC 14 May 1975 [27 Sept 1974] 20396/75 Heading D2B A transfer element comprises a film of an alkenyl aromatic resinous polymer having a porous, ink-receptive, alkenyl aromatic resinous polymeric, matt surface layer or coating, which has a compatible, pressure-exudable ink comprising a colorant dispersed in a relatively non-volatile polar vehicle distributed therein. The film may be treated with an appropriate swelling agent and polymeric material to produce an ink-receptive surface layer or coating thereon.
