Abstract

An ink or paste composition for use in melt transfer printing and comprising a melt transfer medium comprising at least one polymer of a cyclic ether; at least one colourant; and water. The use of this ink or composition enables colouring materials and substances comprising a release layer to be mixed together and printed on the substrate in one operation, but avoids the problems associated with the use of film- forming and thermoplastic polymers.
