Abstract
1507800 Baling presses LINDEMANN MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 1 Dec 1976 [13 Dec 1975] 50166/76 Addition to 1419031 Heading B5F In a baling press comprising a plunger 3 reciprocating in a press box 1 and a filler shaft 8 opening into the press box 1 from above, one of walls of the shaft 8 is movable towards and away from an opposite wall 21 to vary the cross-sectional area of the shaft. In the embodiment shown, the movable wall 11 comprises an upper part 11b hinged to a lower part 11a, the upper end of the part 11b resting on a guide roller 10. In another embodiment, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) the upper wall part (11e) is pivotally mounted at its upper end and its lower end rests loosely inside the top end of the lower wall part (11d). In both embodiments the lower wall part remains vertical during movement. Material to be pressed is fed into the shaft 8 by a conveyer 20.
