Abstract

1506455 Extracting liquids STORK AMSTERDAM BV 13 March 1975 10580/75 Heading A4C [Also in Division B1] In a helical screw press (e.g. for extracting liquid from oil palm fruits) part 26 of the casing 25, 26 is adjustable with respect to fixed perforated part 25 and fixed conical piece 27 to control the discharge of pressed material. Part 26 is moved by screw spindle 31 driven by motor 32 (or by a hydraulic piston/cylinder assembly), the means for moving part 26 being adapted to operate in dependence on the power consumption of electric motor 28 which drives shaft 20. The casing may include - bars 33 of tapering cross-section for counteracting rotation of material being pressed.
