Abstract

1,106,852. Screw presses. MASCHINENFABRIK HASENCLEVER A.G. 26 Jan., 1966 [17 March, 1965], No. 3409/66. Heading B5F. A screw press is driven by an electric motor 9 which drives the screw 4 directly and is connected with control means adapted to vary its speed during the working stroke of the press. In Fig. 1, the screw 4 is rotatably mounted in bearings 5, 6, fixed to the press frame 1, pressure being applied upwardly by a slide 2. In Fig. 2 (not shown) pressure is applied downwardly, and the spindle (24) carries a flywheel (28). Figs. 3 to 6 (not shown) illustrate different electrical arrangements for varying the motor speed.
