Abstract

1502695 Hydraulic master cylinders BENDITALIA SpA 12 March 1976 [3 April 1975] 10036/76 Heading F2F A master cylinder piston 14 has a rear end surface 32 engaging a bore 12 and a smaller diameter portion slidable in and sealingly engaging an annular seal 36 in a groove in the wall of the bore. As shown the seal 36 is an 0-ring with two peripheral ribs 38 and the piston includes a second bearing surface 20 and a shoulder 22 supporting a double-lip seal 24 retained by a spring-urged metal ring 26. The annular chamber around the surface 34 and between the 0-ring seal and the surface 32 is open to atmosphere through a passage 42 and preferably grease filled.
