Abstract

1502356 Dispensing liquids by air-pressure SIEMENS AG 25 Sept 1975 [9 Oct 1974] 39417/75 Heading F1R Liquid is dispensed from a container 1 by airpressure generated by depressing a dish 4 secured to and communicating with a rising tube 5 which is secured to the diaphragm. Initial movement of the dish 4 causes the rim 7 to engage the diaphragm and thereby seal a hole 6 through the diaphragm from atmosphere. The diaphragm may be dished as shown or have an annular depression and be of reduced thickness towards the centre.
