Abstract

1500049 Cutting weft EMIL JAGER KG 20 March 1975 [27 March 1974] 11752/75 Heading DIE As the sley comes forward a lever 1 is pivoted so that a fork 17 engages a weft S extending from the selvedge to a guide 18. Further pivoting of the lever 1 causes a cam 25 to open clamps 19, 20 to release a previous weft and allow the fork 17 to push the new weft S into the clamps 19, 20 which close as the cam 25 clicks past. Further movement of the lever 1 causes the fork 17 to pivot on the lever 1 against a spring 12 and a movable knife 9 to sever the weft against a fixed knife 10. As the sley retracts the cam 25 is pivoted on the fork 17 to avoid opening the clamps 19, 20.
