Abstract

1405209 Shuttleless looms SOC ALSACIENNE DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES DE MULHOUSE 9 Oct 1973 [17 Oct 1972] 47179/73 Heading DIE A gripper weft inserter of the rapier type has a pair of movable gripper jaws 2, 3 pivoted on a bar 8 and operable away from fixed jaws 4, 5 respectively by a lever 14 which acts on a pin 15 which in turn is loosely mounted in holes in lever 15 and the ends of jaws 2, 3. The jaws are normally urged closed by a spring 27 and are opened as the lever 14 strikes a fixed cam 35. As shown lever 14 is pivoted on bar 8 but may be pivoted on a separate bar nearer the end of inserter.
