Abstract
1499874 Valves H & D E WATTS Ltd 5 May 1975 [5 Feb 1974] 05256/74 Heading F2V A mixing valve has hot and cold inlets 3, 4, Figs 1 to 3, an outlet 5 and a rotary closure member 6 which first opens the cold water inlet 3 and has its rotation limited by stops 20, 25, the closure member being secured in the valve body 1 by a bushing 8 and a screwed cap 26. In further embodiments, the stops are formed by a lug (20), Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), co-operating with a recess in the closure member or by a lug (20), Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), on the valve body co-operating with a recess (21) in a handle secured to the valve stem (7) which may be of metal and attached to a closure member of plastics material. In Fig. 9 two outlets 34, 35 are provided and an insert 30 is secured in the valve body. Radial arms rotatable with the valve spindle co-operate with a lug on the bushing to limit the rotation of the closure member and one of the positions may be adjusted by turning a screw carried by one of the arms to co-operate with one of the end faces of the lug.
