Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a valve and to improve its sealing performance, by turning a disklike valve element disposed in the body of a valve to open and close a fluid passage that is located eccentrically to the center of rotation of the valve, and sealing the periphery of the fluid passage and the valve itself by respective O-rings.
CONSTITUTION: A fluid passage 3 is located eccentrically to the center of a recess 8 in which is fitted a plate valve element 9 in the base part 4 of the valve body 1. O-ring grooves 5, 6 are formed around the fluid passage 3 and the recess 8, in which O-rings 5', 6' are fitted respectively. At a part of the periphery of the recess 8, there is formed a slit 11 so that a control lever 10 of the plate valve element 9 can be turned therein. On the other hand, a fluid passage 15 is formed in a cover 12 at a position thereof registering with the fluid passage 3, and an O-ring groove 14 is formed around a plate valve element 10 for receiving an O-ring 14' therein.
