Abstract

927,297. Valves. M. LOMBARDI. March 2, 1961 [March 5, 1960], No. 7690/61. Class 135. A valve cock comprises a body 1 having an inlet 2, an outlet 3 and housing a rotatable valve plug 4. The plug is provided with a recess 6, in communication with the outlet, a transverse aperture 7 communicating with the recess and a port 8 whereby rotation of the plug varies the degree of registry of the port 8 and inlet 2. The port 8 preferably extends over 25 degrees of the plug periphery. Grooves 10 are provided on the plug to receive a single packing ring 11 which when fitted is of horseshoe shape.
