Abstract

1498620 Valves H & D E WATTS Ltd 9 May 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 6459/74 Heading F2V In a manually operated mixing valve hot and cold inlets 2, 3 open on to the external surface of a body 52 and are controlled by a valve member 10 rotatable in an annular space 13 forming the mixing chamber, seals 7, 8 which may be spring- loaded being provided either in the body or the valve member. An angularly-adjustable spout 12 is clamped by a screw 18 at the required position and a pin 22 co-operates with a slot 23 to limit the rotation of the valve member. In further embodiments, the outlet is provided by a downwardly extending tube (24) Fig. 3 (not shown), the inlets (25-26) Fig. 6 (not shown) are spaced apart to fit a sink, the body member (1) Fig. 7 (not shown) is connected to a separate casing (31) with the aid of a gasket (33), the ports (39) Fig. 15 (not shown) in the valve member 10 are tapered and the angular travel of the valve member may be varied by adjustable stop means (43, 47, 49) Fig. 12 (not shown). In Fig. 17 (not shown) the two inlets are coaxial and at right angles to two outlets (55 56).
