Abstract

1504139 Valves H & DE WATTS Ltd 23 May 1975 [19 Nov 1974] 49999/74 Heading F2V A valve for use with a sink, washbasin or bath or for use as one of a pair of valves in a mixer fitting has a closure member 9 rotatable between open and closed positions determined by stop means 24 and provided with a cavity to contain a seal 12 which registers with an outlet 7 when the valve is closed. An offset inlet port 4 is controlled by a face 15 on the member 9 and the total pressure drop when the valve is partially open is divided between the inlet and outlet ports to reduce noise. In a second embodiment, the inlet port is arranged centrally and is fitted with a loose-ball non-return valve (28), Fig. 6 (not shown).
