1496776 Scaffold cradle structure SWING STAGE Ltd 28 Feb 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 6667/74 Heading E1S A base structure for a scaffold cradle comprises four parallel elongate members 2, 3, 4, 5 arranged, as seen in cross-section, at the corners of a rectangle, the members 3, 4 being connected to each other and to the members 2, 5 by tubes 6 passing through apertures in the members, the tubes having abutment surfaces engaging the members to secure them. The members 2, 3, 4, 5 may be engaged between swaged portions 8 (or collars) and outwardly spun ends 9 of the tubes. The members 2, 3, 4, 5 may be hollow, with spigots secured to one end for end-to-end connection of adjacent structures, or they may have apertures 13 near the ends for connection by fish-plates and bolts.
