Abstract

1338252 Scaffolding joints KWIKFORM Ltd 19 April 1971 [11 Feb 1970 18 March 1970] 6520/70 and 12960/70 Heading E1S A scaffolding upright 10 is provided at spaced positions along its length with sets of sockets adapted to receive dependent spigots 15 on transverse scaffold elements 18, 19, each set of sockets including a pair of side sockets 13 mounted on opposite sides of a central socket 12 mounted on _one side of the upright, so that the sockets 13 are offset from a parallel axial plane of the upright and the sides of the upright at that axial plane are devoid of sockets. A further socket 14 may be provided at the side of the upright opposite to the central sockets 12. The spigots 15 on the transoms 18 and ledgers 19 each have a wedge 17 operable to clamp the spigot 15 in a respective socket. Also shown is an adjustable extension unit comprising a pair of parallel tubes 20 having spaced holes 39 and connected together by couplings 21, 22, the lower 21 of which is mounted on the upright 10 and is slidable along the members 20 and securable by pins 40 engaging holes 39.
