Abstract

1496121 Seaming JARUND DEVELLO AB 14 April 1976 [15 April 1975] 15361/76 Heading B5K [Also in Division B8] A liquid container comprises a connecting member (3) of oval section 6 where it passes through one of the sealed edges of a bag, the bag and member both being of heat sealable plastics sealed together by impulse welding. The bag is a polythene tube, sealed at the bottom and double-sealed at the top. The connecting member (3) is of injection moulded polythene. A tube 12 is connected to the member 3 by a coupling 9 forced over a shoulder 7. A non-return valve 17, Fig. 4, can be fitted consisting of two polythene foils joined to form a tube which can project above the bag to form a protective cover 18. The cover has weakening lines 15 for removal of the cover prior to use. In manufacture, a double sheet of polythene is laid over the part 6 of the connecting member and, while supported on a rubber matrix, the bag is heat sealed around the assembly using an impulse method. The cover 18 is then sealed. The bag may be used for storing, a plug then being used in place of the coupling 9.
