Abstract

1486722 Controlling the spacing of conveyer carriers AGROSTROJ PROSTEJOV NARODNI PODNIK 7 Jan 1975 [8 Jan 1974] 673/75 Heading B8A A conveyer chain 2 having carriers 3, is formed into depending loops in a magazine section of the conveyer in which the speed of the carriers is much slower, thereby to enable some operation to be carried out (e.g. fastening hops to the carriers). The loops are formed by the action of pushers 15 on a second endless chain 14. Cams 16 on the latter cause the displacement (Fig. 3) of rail sections 18, to enable the chain to pass through a gap in its normal supporting rails 7 while each loop is being formed.
