Abstract

1379348 Sintering machines HEINRICH KOPPERS GmbH 11 June 1973 [22 June 1972] 27785/73 Heading F4B In a Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine, the pallets are transported from the upper to the lower tracks by a pair of endless chains, one near each side of the run at an end thereof, and having teeth to engage the pallets, the chains being arranged for movement around supports in order to move the pallets from one run to the other. The chain supports 7 are mounted on carriages so that they are adjustable with respect to the tracks, and have adjustable segments 8 to compensate for wear or expansion. Each chain comprises segments 5 with teeth 12, linked by rollers 6. Additional rollers 11 are provided on the driven chains. In a modification Fig. 5, the toothed segments 17 are alternate with straight links 18, thus obviating the need for additional rollers on the driven chain.
