Abstract

1483450 Brackets A D ASSEMBLIES Ltd 29 July 1974 [28 April 1973] 20325/73 Heading A4B A bracket comprises a mounting part 10 for securing to a mounting surface and an article support part 11 with a stem 13 removably received in a pair of vertically aligned apertures 22 in the mounting part 10 to provide a pivot for an outwardly extending arm 12 or hook of the support part 11, the arm 12 being turnable between a first, operation position in which it extends outwardly from the mounting surface and a second position in which it extends alongside the mounting surface, the parts 10, 11 having formations which co-operate in said first position to provide resistances to turning of the arm 12, and the arrangement being such that the mounting part 10 may be detached from the mounting surface without first detaching the support arm 11. As shown, the mounting part 10 comprises a channel section member with lugs 21 engaged in holes in a pegboard P. The co-operating formations comprise flats 15, 16 on the stem 13 which abut bear on the web 17 and flange 19 of the mounting part 10 so that the latter is resiliently deformed when the arm 12 is turned from its operating, first position. In another embodiment Fig. 4, (not shown) the mounting part comprises an elongate channel with a plurality of pairs of vertically aligned holes to receive the stem of the support part 11 and with holes to receive mounting screws.
