Abstract

A lift-on, lift-off bracket for wall-mounted display equipment comprises bracket 10 with lugs 12 which is attached via holes 10 to, eg a display panel or supports, and a wall-mounted rail 14 with (pairs of) slots 15 for receiving the lugs. The bracket may be held in place by a locking device passed through a hole in each lug. <IMAGE>

Description

WALL ATTACHMENT FOR DISPLAY AND MERCHANDISING EQUIPMENT This invention relates to a lift on attachment for supporting wall display and merchandising equipment the invention comprises a bracket with lugs that engage slots in a wall rail.
Most shops have rail fixed permanently to the walls to which display and merchandising equipment is attached by nuts and bolts or screws. When equipment has to be moved, it is difficult for shop personnel to operate these attachments and measure to determine the new position Accoring to this invention there is a bracket permanently fixed to the display and merchandisino equipment and a rail permanently fixed to a wall the bracket has lugs shaped to engage slots in the rail. The rail is shaped to form a channel along the face of the wall. Along the bottom of the channel are slots arranged to locate the lugs of the bracket when the equipment is lifted onto the rail. There is a hole in the lug through which a locking device can be placed when the equipment is in position.
By counting the slots in the rail the correct position of the equipment can be recognised without measuring. This bracket and rail provide a lift on attachment for supporting wall display and merchandising equipment.
Referring to the Accompanying Drawings Fig 1 shows in perspective the bracket 10 with lugs 12 formed to hook onto and locate in rail 14 the front face of the bracket 10 has holes 11 for permanent fixing to the display and merchandising equipment.
Fig 2 shows in perspective the rail 14 channel shaped with slots 15 along the bottom of the channel. Hole 13 along the back of the rail 14 provide for permanent fixing to a wall.
Fig 3 illustrates in perspective the bracket 10 supported by the rail 14 with lugs 12 projecting through the slots 15 below the rail exposing hole 16 for a lock if required.
Fig 4 illustrates in perspective typical items of display and merchandising equipment attached to a wall using brackets 10 and rail 14

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIMS 1 A lifton wall attachment for supporting display and merchandise equipment, comprising a bracket for permanent fixing to the equipment and a rail for permanent fixing to a wall the bracket having lugs and the rail having slots both shaped to locate into each other providing lift on support and preventing horizontal movement 2 A wall attachment as Claim 1 with a hole in the lug to accept a lock to restrict lift off 3 A wall attachment as Claim 1 or 2 with continuous slots along the rail 4 A wall attachment as Claim 1 or 2 with pairs of slots along the rail spaced to suit the module of the equipment 5 A wall attachment substantially as described herein with reference to Fig 1-4 of the accompanying drawings
