Abstract

1472441 Garment pressing machines O BORDOGNA & C MACPI SpA 30 July 1974 [3 Aug 1973] 33507/74 Heading D1A An ironing machine comprises a minorimage pair of half-dummies or forms 6, 6' Fig. 1 reciprocated on a carriage 3 on parallel tracks 2 between two pressing stations. Each station comprises a framework 14 Fig. 2 and three pneumatically-actuated curved ironing presses 15, 15', 15" the three curves 17, 17', 17" together corresponding with the form. The three presses are arranged at angles with the centre press vertical. Steam is supplied via valves 23. The forms are heated by plates 5 and steam is supplied for humidification by valves (8) Fig. 4, not shown. An exhauster line 27 removes surplus steam during pressing. Ironing is effected by sequential operation of the presses on each half of the garment.
