Abstract

1472014 Manifolding webs WERKZEUGUND MASCHINENBAU SCHOBER GmbH 16 April 1975 [24 April 1974] 15630/75 Heading B6A The superposed plies of a manifolding web are held together by superposed cut-out tongues in at least some of the plies, the tongues being bent back and adhered to the reverse side of the last ply. Each ply 6, 7, 8, 9 may have a plurality of side by side tongues 4, Fig. 1, the tongues 4-6 to 4-9, Fig. 2, being pressed on to glue spots 16 on the last ply 9 before a cover web 18 is applied. Cover webs may be applied top and bottom. Tongues may be omitted from the last ply 9. Instead of having glue spots applied, the plies may be pre-treated with heat or moisture activatable adhesive. Carbon papers may be adhered to respective plies and cover webs where desired and the tongues adhered to the carbon papers.
