Folding boxes; lids; straps, strengthening.-A collapsible or folding box, in which the ends are hinged to the bottom and the sides are held between the ends in the erect condition by anglebrackets c - - h and clips l - - o, has the lid v hinged to the side k by staples u, q connected by rings r. The rings and the loops of the staples are arranged in notches in edges of the side and lid, and the staple portion secured to the top of the lid extends across and strengthens it. Holes t in the lid and front side are provided for securing wires or strings, which are also preferably threaded through hand holes i in the ends.
