Abstract

1464585 Electrostatographic copying LA CELLOPHANE 5 Dec 1974 [5 Dec 1973] 52654/74 Heading G2H An electrostatic copying method comprises the steps of forming a charge image on a photoconductive surface, pressing a transparent dielectric film against the image, uniformly charging the film and illuminating completely the combination. The charge image on the dielectric film is then developed using toner whose polarity depends on whether a positive or negative is required. The film is separated from the photo-conductive surface and the developed image is transferred to a support and fixed thereon. Suitable apparatus is described. The process may be repeated using further dielectric films placed one on top of the other with a saturation charging between each placing.
