Ordnance, discharging by means external to breech mechanism.-Consists in passing the electric firing cable J from a closed working chamber B below the mounting E up to the gun through a hollow thrust-bar G, G<1>, which forms an element of a special elevating-gear. The cable passes through packed joints i<1>, i<2> at the lower and upper ends of the part G<1> of the thrust bar.
