Abstract

1391. Rogozea, S. Jan. 17, 1911, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Barrels. - Relates to guns in which the recoil and the sound of discharge are lessened by providing holes in the barrel, and consists in slotting the barrel at the muzzle end, and surrounding this end by an expansible sleeve, around the rear end of which holes are drilled in the barrel. In the form shown, the barrel has a pair of longitudinal slots, such as 37, at its muzzle end, which is surrounded by a split spring sleeve 38. To the rear of this sleeve holes 39 are drilled in the barrel.
