Abstract

1461546 Yarn sensors PALITEX PROJECT-CO GmbH 5 June 1975 [11 July 1974] 24207/75 Heading D1D A spinning or twisting spindle has a balloon limiting thread guide eye 10 carried by a holder 4 movable vertically against a leaf spring 5 which carries the holder 4 and which is held stationary at its other end, the eye being held in an upper position by the running yarn. In the absence of a ballooning yarn the device drops to activate a microswitch 3 which stops the spindle. Leaf spring 5 has the form shown in Fig. 3, arms 7 being clamped, e.g. to the machine frame. The sensitivity of the device is set by a balance weight 13. Guide 10 is mounted on an arm 16 pivoted about an axis d to holder 4 allowing it to be moved sideways. Its working position is maintained by it being spring loaded into a recess in holder 4, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown).
