Abstract

Charge, moistening; cylinders, pipes for.-The parent Specification describes a device for admitting air and water to the induction pipe past a suction-actuated conical valve. According to the present invention, the outlet valve is formed by recesses 43 on a cylindrical spindle 12, the upper part of the recesses being parallel in the axis of the spindle and the lower part outwardly inclined. Air and water are thus admitted to the induction pipe at normal engine speeds, but the supply is cut off at extreme high and low speeds. The spindle 12 is formed with a passage 13 through which the engine suction is transmitted above a piston 10 provided on the upper end of the spindle, and is provided with a conical valve 41 controlling the air inlet 30 and the water inlet 18.
