Abstract

1459787 Two-part couplings GENERAL ELECTRIC CO Ltd 30 Aug 1974 [11 Sept 1973] 42683/73 Heading H2E [Also in Division F4] A terminal assembly has a resilient plastics body having parts 1 and 2 connected by an integral hinge 3. The main terminal section 1 contains one or more brass tubes 7, 8 and screw clamps 9, 10 and 11, 12 for the insertion and connection of bared wires 50, 51 and 52, 53. The fuse holder section 2 contains cable connectors connected to contacts 38, 40 of the holder for fuse 36. The whole body is preferably formed as a single moulding external members 16 and 41 for attaching the assembly to the casing of some appliance. The hinge 3 may be split to allow separate mounting of parts 1 and 2. The assembly may be used in the casing of a fluorescent lamp to allow access to the fuse either from the outside or the inside of the casing.
