A connector has a tubular body 1 with an insulating cast end wall 2 at one end and a seat 3 at the other open end for a conductor casing. Terminals 6 preferably of square cross-section and uninsulated conductors 10 connected to the former are embedded in the end wall 2 while casting and extend as insulated conductors 11 or as sockets (21), (Fig. 3, not shown), outside the wall. Each terminal is provided with a screw 8 and a washer 9 for securing an external wire. Ribs 12 are provided between terminals to prevent arcing. Extensions 14 of the wall have screw-threaded caps 15 cast into them for securing to an apparatus with corresponding protrusions. Bore holes in the peripheral wall are fitted with stoppers 5 and bushes 4. In the second embodiment (Fig. 3) a groove (22) to prevent arcing is provided between the sockets (21) and a copper strip (20) for grounding is embedded in the peripheral wall of the insulating body (1<SP>1</SP>). Frusto-conical screw sockets (18, 19) are provided on the inside of the seat (3<SP>1</SP>) and outside of the opposite end wall (2<SP>1</SP>) respectively for receiving a conductor casing (23) or a plastics or metal cover and casing of an apparatus (16<SP>1</SP>), e.g. fluorescent lamp, respectively.
