Smoke-tube superheaters; U-tube superheaters. -The steam from a smoke-tube boiler is superheated in two stages, first in a superheater 8 arranged in the uptake or smoke-box and then in a superheater 15 in the smoke-tubes, the outlet header 7 of the first superheater being connected to the inlet header 12 of the second superheater by a steam-pipe 11.
